1. Introduction

MathSprint is operated by Charith De Silva. In this Privacy Policy, “MathSprint,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Charith De Silva operating the MathSprint service.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, disclose, and protect information when you use the MathSprint mobile application, website, and related services (together, the “Services”).

MathSprint is a mental-arithmetic game. It offers single-player modes (Practice, Arcade, Converter, Balancer), a global Daily Sprint, asynchronous Ranked matches against other players, leaderboards, and friend invites.

MathSprint is built to collect as little personal information as possible. You can play without giving us your name, email address, or phone number.

By using the Services, you acknowledge that your information will be handled as described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

2. Information We Collect

Account information

When you first open MathSprint, we create an anonymous account for you in the background. We collect:

  • a randomly generated user ID;
  • a randomly generated username, or a display name you choose instead;
  • your chosen avatar;
  • a personal invite code used for friend invites.

Linked sign-in (optional)

If you choose to “claim” your account in Settings using Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google, our authentication provider (Supabase Auth) receives and stores:

  • the unique account identifier issued by Apple or Google;
  • the email address that provider shares with us. With Apple, this may be a private relay address (“Hide My Email”). With Google, it is the email address on your Google account.

This sign-in information is kept in the authentication system only. It is not stored in our game tables, not shown to other players, and not used to send you marketing.

Gameplay information

  • scores, times, accuracy, and results for each run;
  • Daily Sprint results and streaks;
  • Elo rating, tier, wins, losses, and win rate;
  • Ranked match records, including the sequence of answers and timings used as “ghost” data for your opponent;
  • your friend list, sent and received challenges, and online/offline status;
  • settings and preferences, such as selected theme and sound options.

Device and technical information

  • IP address and basic request information, processed by our backend when your app connects to it;
  • device type, operating system version, and app version;
  • technical and error events needed to keep the Services working and to detect cheating.

Advertising information

If you see ads, our ad provider may collect your device’s advertising identifier (where permitted), IP address, device information, and ad interaction data. See section 6.

Purchase information

If you buy “Remove Ads,” we receive confirmation of the purchase and its entitlement status from the Apple App Store or Google Play. We do not receive or store your payment card details.

3. Information We Do Not Collect

MathSprint does not ask for or store in our game database:

  • your real name;
  • your phone number;
  • your contacts or address book;
  • your precise location;
  • photos, camera, or microphone data;
  • social network accounts or friend lists (we do not integrate Facebook, TikTok, or similar social platforms).

Please do not put personal information, such as your real name, in your display name. Display names are public.

4. How We Use Information

We use information to:

  • create and maintain your account and restore it across devices;
  • run game modes, calculate scores, and maintain streaks;
  • match you with opponents and calculate Elo ratings and tiers;
  • display leaderboards, profiles, friend lists, and challenges;
  • sync progress you make offline when you reconnect;
  • show ads and remember whether you purchased “Remove Ads”;
  • filter offensive usernames;
  • detect cheating, abuse, and fraud, and enforce our Terms;
  • fix bugs, monitor performance, and improve the game;
  • respond to support requests;
  • comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects on you. Elo ratings and anti-cheat checks only affect your standing within the game.

5. Public Profile, Leaderboards, and Sharing

Some information is visible to other players by design:

  • your username and avatar;
  • your Elo rating, tier, win rate, and leaderboard position;
  • your Daily Sprint results on daily leaderboards;
  • your online/offline status, to players on your friend list;
  • your Ranked run data (times and accuracy), shown as a “ghost” to the opponent you are matched with.

Any player can view your profile from a leaderboard and send you a challenge.

Invite links

When you share an invite link, it contains your invite code. Anyone who opens the link can add you as a friend. Only share it with people you want to connect with.

Daily Sprint share text

After a Daily Sprint, you can share a result string (for example, a puzzle number, your time, and colored squares). It contains no account identifiers. When you share it through your device’s share sheet, the app or platform you choose handles it under its own privacy policy.

6. Advertising and Tracking

MathSprint is supported by ads served through Google AdMob. Ads appear between runs, never during active gameplay.

AdMob may collect device identifiers, IP address, device information, and ad interaction data to show ads, measure them, limit how often you see them, and prevent ad fraud. Google uses this information under its own policies: How Google uses information from apps that use its services.

Your choices

  • iOS: We ask for permission through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt before your advertising identifier can be used for tracking. If you decline, you will still see ads, but they will be less personalized. You can change this anytime in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
  • Android: You can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of personalized ads, in your device’s Google settings.
  • EEA, UK, and Switzerland: Where required, we ask for your consent to personalized advertising through a consent message before personalized ads are shown. You can change your choice in Settings.
  • Remove Ads: Purchasing “Remove Ads” stops interstitial ads on your account.

We do not use ads to collect your name, email, or contacts.

7. Service Providers, Hosting, and International Transfers

We use these providers to run the Services:

Provider Purpose
Supabase Authentication, database, and backend functions
Google AdMob Advertising
Apple (App Store, Sign in with Apple) App distribution, purchases, optional sign-in
Google (Google Play, Sign in with Google) App distribution, purchases, optional sign-in

We may add, remove, or replace providers as needed. Each provider processes information under its own terms and privacy policy.

Our primary backend is hosted by Supabase in [HOSTING REGION]. Our providers may process information in other countries, including the United States. If you use the Services from another country, your information may be transferred to and processed in those countries. Where required by law, we rely on appropriate safeguards for these transfers.

8. Purchases, Offline Storage, and Cookies

Purchases

Purchases are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play under their own terms and privacy policies. We receive purchase confirmations, product identifiers, and entitlement status so we can unlock “Remove Ads” and restore it on your devices. We never see your full payment details.

Offline storage on your device

To let you play offline, MathSprint stores your progress, settings, and a queue of unsynced results on your device. This data is sent to our servers when you reconnect. Deleting the app removes local data that has not yet synced.

Website and cookies

Our website is informational and has no user login. We do not currently use analytics or marketing cookies on it. If this changes, we will update this policy.

9. Legal Bases, Retention, Your Rights, and Deletion

Legal bases

Where data protection laws require a legal basis (for example, in the EEA, UK, or under Sri Lanka’s Personal Data Protection Act No. 9 of 2022), we rely on:

  • Performance of a contract: to provide the game, your account, matches, and purchases;
  • Legitimate interests: to secure the Services, prevent cheating, fix bugs, and improve the game;
  • Consent: for personalized advertising and tracking where required; you can withdraw it anytime;
  • Legal obligations: to meet tax, accounting, and other legal requirements.

Retention

  • Account and gameplay data: until you delete your account.
  • Ranked match records: kept while either player’s account exists, so match history and ratings stay accurate. After account deletion, your side of a match is anonymized.
  • Technical and security logs: up to one year.
  • Purchase records: as long as needed for app-store, tax, and legal purposes.

Backups may keep copies for a limited time before they are overwritten.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your information; to restrict or object to processing; to withdraw consent; and to complain to a data protection authority. In Sri Lanka, this is the Data Protection Authority of Sri Lanka. In the EU or UK, it is your local supervisory authority.

To make a request, email support@flux78.com and include your username and user ID (shown in Settings). Because we hold no name or email in our game database, this is how we verify that an account is yours.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time in Settings > Delete Account, or by emailing support@flux78.com. Deletion removes your profile, username, friend list, stats, and linked sign-in from our active systems, and removes you from leaderboards. Purchases remain tied to your Apple or Google account and can be restored on a new account.

10. Children’s Privacy

MathSprint is intended for users aged 13 and older. Users aged 13 to 17 should use the Services with the involvement of a parent or guardian.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 is using MathSprint, contact us at support@flux78.com and we will delete the account.

11. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including encrypted connections, access controls on our database, and server-side checks on game results. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. Do Not Track

There is no uniform standard for “Do Not Track” signals, so we do not currently respond to them. Use the ad choices in section 6 instead.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time and will change the “Last updated” date when we do. For material changes, we will give additional notice where required, such as in the app. Continued use after an update means you acknowledge the updated policy.
