Agreement to These Terms

MathSprint is operated by Charith De Silva. In these Terms of Service, “MathSprint,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Charith De Silva operating the MathSprint service.

These Terms are a legally binding agreement between you and MathSprint covering your use of the MathSprint mobile application, website, and related services (together, the “Services”). By downloading, accessing, or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

Our Privacy Policy also applies and is part of these Terms.

Eligibility

The Services are intended for users aged 13 and older. If you are 13 to 17, you may use the Services only with the permission and involvement of a parent or guardian, who also agrees to these Terms on your behalf. Children under 13 may not use the Services.

You may not use the Services if you are barred from doing so under applicable law, or if you are located in a country subject to embargo or sanctions that prohibit your use.

1. The Services

MathSprint is a mental-arithmetic game. It includes Practice, Arcade, Converter, Balancer, Daily Sprint, and asynchronous Ranked modes, plus leaderboards, profiles, friends, and challenges. Core single-player modes work offline and sync when you reconnect.

We may add, change, limit, or remove modes, features, themes, ratings, leaderboards, or seasons at any time. Features marked as beta or experimental are provided as-is and may change or disappear without notice.

2. Accounts

When you first open the app, we create an anonymous account for you on that device. Your progress is tied to that account. If you delete the app or lose your device before claiming your account, your progress may be lost permanently.

You can claim your account with Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google to keep your progress across devices. You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping access to the sign-in you use.

You may not sell, transfer, or share your account, or create multiple accounts to manipulate ratings, leaderboards, or matchmaking.

Usernames

You may choose a display name. It must not be offensive, hateful, sexual, impersonate another person, or include personal information such as your real name, phone number, or address. We filter usernames automatically and may change, reset, or remove any username at our discretion.

3. Fair Play and Competitive Features

Ranked matches, Elo ratings, tiers, streaks, and leaderboards only mean something if everyone plays fairly. Results are checked by our servers, and we decide the final outcome of every match and rating change.

We may, at our discretion and without notice:

reject or void results that fail plausibility checks;
reset or adjust ratings, tiers, streaks, or leaderboard positions;
remove players from leaderboards or matchmaking;
correct results affected by bugs, outages, or exploits.

Ratings, tiers, streaks, and rankings have no monetary value and are not property. We do not guarantee that any match, opponent, or rating will be available or preserved.

4. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

use bots, scripts, auto-clickers, calculators, overlays, or any tool that answers or times questions for you in Ranked, Daily Sprint, or leaderboard modes;
modify, tamper with, or emulate the app, or intercept or alter traffic between the app and our servers;
exploit bugs or glitches instead of reporting them;
manipulate ratings by colluding, intentionally losing, or using multiple accounts;
send abusive, harassing, or spam challenges or invites;
impersonate another person or use offensive usernames;
access the Services by automated means or scrape leaderboards or profiles;
reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code, game seeds, or server logic, except where the law allows it;
interfere with, overload, or probe the Services or their security, except through responsible disclosure to us;
use the Services for anything unlawful.

Breaking these rules may lead to voided results, rating resets, removal from leaderboards, or suspension or termination of your account.

5. Intellectual Property and Licence

We own or license all rights in the Services, including the app, code, game design, question generators, themes, artwork, sounds, the MathSprint name, and logos. These are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws.

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the app on devices you own or control, for your personal, non-commercial entertainment.

You may share your Daily Sprint result text, invite links, and screenshots of your own gameplay. You may not copy, sell, redistribute, or create derivative works from the Services, or use our name or logos, without our written permission.

If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them freely without any obligation to you.

6. Advertising and Purchases

MathSprint is free to play and supported by ads shown between runs. Ads are provided by third parties. We are not responsible for advertisers’ products, services, or websites.

Remove Ads

We offer a one-time in-app purchase that removes interstitial ads from your account. Prices are shown in the app store before you buy and may change over time.

Purchases are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play under their terms.
“Remove Ads” is linked to your app-store account and can be restored with “Restore Purchases.”
It does not remove ads you choose to view yourself, if we offer any, or ads outside the app.
If we discontinue the Services, any purchase ends with them.

Refunds

All purchases are final except where the law requires otherwise. Refund requests are handled by the app store you bought from under its own policies (Apple: reportaproblem.apple.com; Google Play: your order history). We cannot issue refunds directly for app-store purchases.

7. Apple and Google App Store Terms

If you download MathSprint from the Apple App Store or Google Play:

these Terms are between you and MathSprint only, not Apple or Google;
Apple and Google have no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app;
if the app fails to meet any applicable warranty, you may notify the store, which may refund the purchase price (if any); otherwise the store has no warranty obligation;
Apple and Google are not responsible for claims relating to the app, including product liability, legal compliance, or intellectual property claims; we are, to the extent these Terms require;
you must also comply with the store’s usage rules and any third-party terms that apply;
Apple, Google, and their subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

8. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and how we use it. Some information, such as your username, avatar, rating, and results, is visible to other players by design.

9. Account Deletion, Suspension, and Termination

You can stop using the Services at any time, and you can delete your account in Settings > Delete Account or by emailing support@flux78.com.

We may suspend or terminate your account, void results, or remove you from leaderboards if you break these Terms, create risk for other players or the Services, or if the law requires it. Where reasonable, we will give notice first. We may act immediately to stop cheating, abuse, or harm.

We may also discontinue the Services entirely. Sections that by their nature should survive termination, such as intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law, will survive.

10. Changes to the Services and These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time and will change the “Last updated” date when we do. For material changes, we will give notice in the app where required. Continuing to use the Services after an update means you accept the updated Terms.

We do not guarantee that the Services will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free. Maintenance, outages, and updates may interrupt play, matches, or syncing. Support is provided on a best-efforts basis.

11. Disclaimer

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free; that progress, ratings, streaks, or purchases will never be lost; or that third-party services such as app stores, ad networks, or sign-in providers will work as expected.

MathSprint is a game for entertainment and practice. It is not an educational assessment, and results should not be used to evaluate anyone’s academic ability.

The Services use animations, flashing effects, screen shake, and vibration. If you are sensitive to flashing lights or have photosensitive epilepsy, consult a doctor before playing and stop immediately if you feel unwell.

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MATHSPRINT, CHARITH DE SILVA, AND OUR SERVICE PROVIDERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF DATA, PROGRESS, RATINGS, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICES WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) USD 50.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, or removes rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived.

13. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless MathSprint, Charith De Silva, and our service providers from claims, losses, and costs, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Services, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

14. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply.

Before starting any formal proceeding, you agree to contact us at support@flux78.com and try to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days.

If it is not resolved, the courts of Colombo, Sri Lanka, will have non-exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer living in another country, you keep the protection of any mandatory consumer laws of that country and may bring a claim in your local courts where those laws allow.

These Terms are written in English. Any translation is for convenience only, and the English version controls.

15. Miscellaneous

These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us about the Services. If any provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms; we may transfer ours, for example if MathSprint is sold. We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control. Nothing in these Terms creates a partnership, employment, or agency relationship.
